Baller Throw Sharp
This policy explains how this application handles information and how to contact us about privacy.
Information we process
Baller Throw Sharp stores game progress, scores, streaks, earned stars, selected balls and courts, paused rounds, pending score submissions, language and audio settings on your iPhone. It also saves downloaded public leaderboard entries and their update time locally. A random installation secret is stored in the iOS Keychain. When the app connects, the server receives that secret over HTTPS and stores only its SHA-256 digest, a randomly assigned public nickname, installation creation time, best scores and streaks, tournament identifiers, update times, and submission identifiers and payload digests used to prevent duplicate submissions. The hosting infrastructure receives network requests, including IP addresses and request metadata. The application briefly uses a hashed connection address in memory for rate limiting; it does not store addresses in its database. No name, email address, precise location, contacts, advertising identifier, photos or gameplay recording is requested.
How we use information
Local data lets you continue rounds, unlock content, retain personal records and use your preferred language and sound settings. The installation secret authorizes your own score submissions and deletion without an account. Server data provides anonymous public leaderboards, preserves best results and prevents duplicate retries. Request metadata and short-lived rate limits support service operation and abuse prevention. Scores are reported by the game client; the service is a casual leaderboard, not a verified competitive ranking.
Service providers and sharing
Public leaderboard responses show the assigned anonymous nickname, best score and streak. Other players can download and cache these public results. The backend and this policy are hosted by Railway, which processes requests and stored data as the infrastructure provider. Infrastructure logs may include network and request metadata; their retention is controlled by the hosting provider. The app contains no advertising, analytics, social sign-in, email-delivery or third-party game SDK. Data is not sent to those services. Information may also be disclosed where required by applicable law.
Data retention
Progress and cached leaderboards remain on the device until deleted through Settings or removed with app storage. A Keychain secret may remain after uninstalling the app. Server installation data, best results and submission digests remain until deletion is requested; the application has no automatic expiry or application-level backup job. Railway may maintain infrastructure logs or copies under its own controls, and no fixed retention period or immediate erasure of infrastructure copies is promised. Leaderboards already cached on another device cannot be remotely removed by this app.
Deleting your information
Use Delete all progress & server scores in Settings while online. The app first requests deletion using its installation secret; the server removes that installation and its scores and submission records. Only after success does the app clear local progress, cached leaderboards and its Keychain secret. If the request fails, local progress is retained so you can retry. SQLite secure deletion and a WAL checkpoint are used, but hosting-level copies remain subject to infrastructure retention. Uninstalling alone does not request server deletion. A lost installation secret cannot be recovered, and the app cannot authorize deletion or restore progress on another device without it.
Permissions and your choices
The app does not request camera, microphone, photos, contacts, location or notification permissions. Network access is used for leaderboards, score synchronization, deletion and the public policy. You can stop using network features by disconnecting the device, but server deletion requires a connection. Audio, haptics and reduced motion can be changed in Settings; system accessibility settings also apply. Removing the app ends its active use of device capabilities but does not itself delete server records.
Your privacy rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or object to processing of personal information, or complain to a relevant authority. Contact the privacy owner at JessamineKirkbride2@icloud.com with privacy questions or rights requests. This address is a public privacy contact, not an in-app messaging or account service. Do not send your installation secret by email. The app collects no identity information that can reliably reconnect a person to a lost installation, so requests may require a way to establish authority over the relevant data.
Security
The app uses HTTPS for deployed requests, a unique cryptographically random installation secret in Keychain, and server-side authorization for score changes and deletion. The database stores a digest rather than the raw secret. Input validation, bounded request sizes, request timeouts and rate limits reduce abuse. Application logs omit secrets and request bodies. These safeguards do not guarantee absolute security. Keep your device secure; anyone with the installation secret may act for that installation. No shared client credential or account recovery system is used.
Children’s privacy
The game is designed for a general casual basketball audience aged 12 and older and is not specifically directed at young children. It does not ask for age, names or contact details. Anonymous results can appear publicly on leaderboards. A parent or guardian with access to the installation can use Settings to delete its data, or contact JessamineKirkbride2@icloud.com with a privacy concern.
Changes to this policy
This policy describes the current app and backend. If their processing changes, the policy will be updated at this public URL and its effective date will change. Review the policy periodically. Material changes will be described through an appropriate app update or policy notice.
